Before the release of the new Star Wars movie I was super excited and I did a series of paintings, starting with the iconic image of princess Leia, dressing the slave bikini. After that, I did a lot of other painting in watercolor and oil on canvas; both themed in the original series and the new movie.
After watching the amazing The force awakens, and seeing such incredible fanarts, I decided to do my version of the movie poster in gouache.
Noticing that, for this new Star Wars movie, unlike the others, they did not make a poster in the classic style, I decided to paint one inspired on the old movies posters, by Drew Struzan. I really loved this movie. I hope you enjoy it.
